It’s CrossFit Orlando’s 1 year anniversary, so we thought we’d have a little party. Saturday Nov 20th, we’ll have a “special” workout at the 10:30 class, followed by a get together at one of the local restaurants.

Make plans to be there!

4:30 MWF class is back starting Monday and for the next month it’ll be there on a trial basis. If enough people consistently come to this class it will stay on the schedule.

Also, the 9:30 AM class has been empty many days, and some of the people who do come at that time have expressed a preference for 4:30. If you want the 9:30 to stay on the schedule, please start pre-registering for it and come to it, otherwise it likely will be canceled next month.

In general, everyone needs to be better about pre-registering for classes. It helps us manage our schedules and plan the equipment to know who will be in a class. As we’ve been reaching full classes at times, we may ask that you wait until the next class if you did not pre-register. If you miss the 2-hour cutoff window for registration, give us a call to see if there’s room.

Next Saturday, September 25, we’ll be hosting the Fight Gone Bad charity event. This event is open to anyone, as a free event. However, we do ask that that you register on the fight gone bad website, and make an effort at raising some money for the charity, even if it’s just a few dollars.

The event kicks off at 10 am. Non-members should start arriving at 9:30 to fill out paperwork and go over the rules and exercises in the workout. Also if you’re not a current member, please email info@crossfit-orlando.com with your full name to register.

The Saturday intro class and 1030 class are cancelled, but any member is welcome to participate in the Fight Gone Bad workout at 10. The 8:00 class will still take place.

Grillout – We’ll be firing up the grill for post-workout refreshments and socializing. We’ll have some of Rosa’s Burgers, but everyone’s encouraged to bring some paleo-friendly dishes.

We’ll be hosting the Fight Gone Bad Charity Event on September 25. Register now and select CrossFit Orlando as your affiliate, and start your fundraising. Event is open to members and non-members. We’ll be providing a paleo grill-out lunch at the gym after the workout, and it should be a good time for all. Sign Up!

Just a quick reminder, we need your logs. Some people are losing out and costing their team points by not submitting a full week’s log or a log at all. Don’t make me chase you down for it. If you’re not using Beyondthewhiteboard either send me each week’s log on Friday night, or, a notice of where I can see the log online. Also, don’t forget to email info on sleep and water intake if your log system doesn’t note those.

The challenge is still entirely up in the air, it’s not too late to get back in the race for any of the teams, so get on track and submit those logs!
