Originally from Atlanta, GA, Lori’s first athletic passion began with martial arts as a teen, where she spent most of her time outside of school. She eventually began teaching classes, and her instructor urged her to pursue it as a career. She made the choice instead to head off to college and put martial arts on the back burner, but continued training in various styles, as well as fencing and rowing. After a long roundabout journey and varied careers, she found her way back to fitness training for master’s rowing in Orlando, and discovered CrossFit.
She quickly found a passion for CrossFit, as well as the related nutrition aspect. Lori had lifelong serious allergies and asthma, and deteriorating health before making the change to CrossFit and Paleo. Now at 37, she is healthier and more fit than ever, even comparing college athletics, and the asthma and allergies have all but disappeared. She reads everything she can get her hands on about nutrition and believes it’s the number one thing everyone should address for better health for life. Lori is committed to spreading fitness and nutrition as a lifestyle through the gym’s community.
Kevin Kuryliw
CrossFit Coach
- CrossFit Level 1 Certified
- CrossFit Rowing Trainer Course
Growing up, athletics played an integral part in Kevin’s life. Fitness naturally became a point of interest for him as he pursued a degree in health and fitness at the University of Florida. He finished his degree at the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies – a generalist major that allowed him to dabble in several areas of study including athletic training, health promotion, digital media, and even computer science. Much like CrossFit’s methodology that life favors the generalist, he sought to broaden his knowledge-base rather than settle for any one particular field.
Kevin is no stranger to injuries and what it takes to rehabilitate them. In both 2007 and 2008, Kevin underwent major reconstructive shoulder surgeries to repair damage caused by isolation weight training, leaving his right shoulder extremely weak and with poor range of motion. After two years of being sedentary, Kevin discovered CrossFit in the summer of 2009. Kevin used CrossFit’s functional and scaled training to rehabilitate his shoulder far beyond expectations and is now stronger than ever. Seeing all that CrossFit had to offer, in addition to his prior experience training others, he went on to get his CrossFit Level 1 Certification.
Kevin values the community aspect of CrossFit as well as helping make a positive impact in the lives of those he trains. He uses his experience with injuries to help scale and modify workouts for any individual.

Gabriel Haas
CrossFit Coach
- CrossFit Level 1 Certified
Gabriel Haas has been active in sports and fitness throughout most of his life. After dabbling in many sports (gymnastics, baseball, basketball, football) while growing up, Gabe found a home as an amateur skateboarder in his early teens. While continuing to skate through his twenties, Gabe also took an interest in tennis, racquetball and ultimate frisbee while in college. After college, Gabe continued to pursue new sports and new fitness routines, but never found anything that was quite the right fit. That changed when he found CrossFit.
After a couple of years of adding CrossFit exercises to his home gym workout, Gabe found CrossFit Orlando in May of 2010 and never looked back. He began training 4-5 days a week and continues to do so today. He earned his CF-L1 in August 2011. In addition to all things CrossFit, Gabe enjoys geeking out on nutrition, billiards, UFC and spending time with his family. You’ll find him at the 6am class working out most weekday mornings as well as running regular classes and the Free Intro Class.
